Follow the instructions below to install CoinGate.

  • Open website https://coingate.com to sign up
  • Go to https://sandbox.coingate.com for testing
  • Now please note that for Test mode you are supposed to generate a new API
  • For that go to https://sandbox.coingate.com
Always remember that Receive Currency parameter that is there in module configuration defines currency for CoinGate. Set the Receive Currency parameter to BTC, EUR, USD. In case of Euros and U.S dollars one must have to verify yourself as a merchant on CoinGate. But in case of Bitcoin you don’t need any kind of verification.

Now let us check various modes of verifications

Using WordPress Plugin manager:

  • Follow the path Admin>Plugins>Add New admin panel
  • Put CoinGate WooCommerce in search box and press enter
  • Then click on install button
  • Go to the Plugin menu of WordPress and activate the Plugin
  • Now follow the path Admin>WooCommerce> Settings
  • Go to the settings and click on Payment tab
  • Then find CoinGate in payment method table
  • Then click on setup option
  • Be careful to tick on the checkbox of enable Cryptocurrency payment via CoinGate 
Using WooCommerce FTP folder: 

  • First download WooCommerce-coingate-1.2.2.zip
  • Now go to the path Admin>Plugins>Add New in admin panel
  • In Upload Plugin option upload the file WooCommercew-coingate-1.2.2.zip
  • Go to the path Admin>WooCommerce> Settings
  • Find Payment Tab in settings
  • Then go for CoinGate which is there in payment method table
  • Check the option called enable Cryptocurrency payment via CoinGate
